The Challenge
Healthcare accessibility in rural Kenya was limited by distance and fragmented medical records. Patients faced 4-hour queues at local clinics for basic consultations, and doctors lacked a unified view of patient history.
Our Approach
Our focus was on reliability and data security. We built a custom video streaming engine optimized for the fluctuating 3G/4G networks found in regional Kenya. We also implemented an offline-first database that syncs patient records as soon as a stable connection is detected, ensuring no data loss during critical consultations.
The Solution
We developed a high-security, low-bandwidth optimized mobile application that supports high-resolution video consultations even on 3G networks. The system includes an encrypted offline-first EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system for doctors.
